ASSERT President tackles OBE Research in Invited Lecture

Dr. Jonathan V. Macayan, Dean of Mapúa University’s School of Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences and Interim President of the Association of Education Researchers and Trainers (ASSERT) lectured on Outcome-Based Research in the context of tourism of and hospitality studies during an invited talk in the Tourism and Hospitality Annual Research Convention (THARC 2017) held in Bayleaf Hotel – Cavite on March 16, 2017.

After previously meeting with Dr. William Spady, Father of Outcome-Based Education for ASSERT’s research discipleship program, Dr. Macayan was invited to grace the annual national convention, where he discussed how OBE could be contextualized in tourism and hospitality research, its premises, procedures and prospects.

Around 300 participants listened and interacted with Dr. Macayan during the plenary talk of the convention attended by tourism and hospitality school administrators, research office heads, and faculty-researchers.
